Deus is one of our favorite companies in the whole wide world. They are the motorcycle/surfboard company from Australia with a US location in Venice, CA. Asbury Park’s own Lightly Salted surf shop is the only area supplier of their gear. Deus is also a sponsor for the triCity affiliated Asbury Anchor helmet art show High Seas, Open Roads helmet art show happening Sept 6th at Asbury Lanes. Deus is also applying their artistic genius to a helmet for the show as well.

All this leads us to the screening of the Deus film, ‘I HAD TOO MUCH TO DREAM LAST NIGHT’ which is having its area premier tonight (7/25) at 9pm at Asbury Park Yacht Club (2nd Ave. and the Sea) on the boardwalk. Deus is known for making amazing short films and if the film lives up to the trailer it’ll be another gem.

Here’s how it goes:

To give you the good oil, the movie follows the simplistic travels of two surfers, meeting friends along the way, on an open ended journey across an archipelago littered with islands and breaks. Connected by ribbons of tarmac and separated by deep ocean valleys these islands have been here for millennia and will continue to do so for millennia to come. An veritable eden for waves of every nature, from long reeling glassy points breaks to sketchy urchin infested waves in the middle of nowhere.
