RAZOR BLAZERS RECORD RELEASE & BENEFIT AT PORTA

On January 13, 2013, local hell raisers Razor Blazers hosted a record release party and benefit for the Kusi Kawsay school in Pisaq, Peru. The function was held at Porta in Asbury Park, New Jersey and featured the exotic sounds of Birthwater, Foggy Notion, Lifeguard Nights & Razor Blazers.

Early in 2012, Razor Blazers raised some coin to fund the completion of a 7″ vinyl record. The ensemble mastered the songs, pressed some vinyl, and asked 50 of their artist friends to each design 10 unique covers for the release party. As you can see in the clip, an art show transpired and records were sold. All proceeds of the records will go to Kusi Kawsay, an elementary school in the Peruvian Andes which offers children from economically challenged backgrounds an affirming and holistic education.

500 records were pressed and about 250 copies remain. If you are interested in purchasing a copy, get in touch. Film by Windows Have Eyes Productions.
