Making the Through the Porthole series has been an amazing experience for me so far. I have met the nicest and most interesting people in Asbury Park. By making these films I hope to share the experiences that I have had making these great new relationships.

Working on Second Life Bikes was such a great experience. Kerri was so inviting to let me be a part of her world for the days while I filmed her and her crew. Kerri is such a selfless person. The work that she does with the kids who work and volunteer there is amazing. In the few days I was there, I could see how the lives of these children had changed for the better. You hear a lot of pay it forward stories, but Kerri and Second Life Bikes are truly an example of paying it forward, no questions asked. Her love of bikes and teaching children how to maintain and care for bikes is truly amazing.

If you think about it, the first “Porthole” film about Sweet Joeys and now Second Life Bikes are little lessons about life. Finding ways to work together and sharing what you’re passionate about so others may follow and continue that circle of sharing with others.

I can’t wait to start the 3rd in this series. Details to follow soon.
